Whatever the weather, Swansea’s seaside is definitely worth a visit. With four Blue Flag beaches and the sea just a 5 minute walk from our hotel, it is the perfect place to take a stroll while wrapped up in your winter woollies.

Swansea’s coastline has more to offer than just the beautiful panoramic views. Swansea’s coastline is home to seven castles, including the magical ruins of Pennard Castle on its horizon and the impressive Oystermouth Castle in the picturesque village, Mumbles.

If history isn’t your thing, how about some poetry? Swansea was home to famed Welsh poet Dylan Thomas and visitors to the city can take a tour around his childhood home or visit a dedicated information centre by the bay to learn more about his works.
When you want to take a break from castles, museums and the beach, Swansea has plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants where you can put up your weary legs and refuel on some delicious food. In fact we have our own café and restaurant here at The Dragon Hotel.
If you’d prefer to take a walk along the bay front and admire some of the luxury boats moored here before a meal, we know some great places.
